Fidelity
Comparison brief
Fidelity Rewards Visa vs. Citi Double Cash
Fidelity Rewards Visa and Citi Double Cash are both $0-fee cards that earn 2% on every purchase with no categories to track — on the rate table alone, they're identical. The difference is what the 2% becomes. Fidelity's points are modeled at 1 cent each only when redeemed into an eligible Fidelity brokerage, cash management, or 529 account; there's no statement-credit or direct cash-out option here. Citi Double Cash pays out in ThankYou points redeemable as cash back at 1 cent each, with the added option to combine them with a premium Citi card later to unlock transfer partners — something Double Cash alone doesn't do. Double Cash also adds a narrow 5x bonus on Citi's own travel portal (hotels, rental cars, attractions) that Fidelity doesn't match anywhere.

These cards earn different reward currencies, so no highest rate is labeled; a larger multiplier does not necessarily mean more value. Listed rates can still be subject to portal, spending-cap, or category-selection rules; review each card's details before deciding.
